Beginning construction in 1997, this land was once owned by John D. MacArthur, Palm Beach Gardens’ founder. The plan was to produce 20 residential neighborhoods, 20 commercial districts, two college campuses, two science research and development campuses, and more. The idea was to create an environment that linked everyone together without creating a vacuum. This exceptional strategy linked Abacoa to a family-friendly atmosphere and provided everything a homeowner would need in one centralized, convenient location.
